Pretty, high quality, nice unboxing. Stiffer hinges than I expected.
Caveat that I'm not much of a jewelry person, but I wanted some nice earrings to wear with an evening dress to a charity gala. I don't care about luxury brand names but I do care about quality and value for money. I like Mejuri's items and this strikes me as a similar value prop.
The unboxing is very thoughtful, nicely designed, and matches the price point. I would feel comfortable giving this as a gift to someone. The piece itself seems high quality and commensurate to the price.
The only thing that surprised me was the stiffness of the hinges and the fact that the hinges only turn one way, meaning that the rod of sapphires only curve one way. I think I I was expecting more of a dangly earring and these are more of a flexible 'rod' that hangs down from your ear.
I've never owned a tennis-type piece before so I will rate 5 stars assuming that this type of hinge design is typical for the piece. Just be aware they are not really "dangly".
I like the minimalist look of this piece - they are understated but elegant - and I think they go better with my simple satin evening gown than the other sapphire earrings that Aurate makes (which looks more ostentatious), so I think I will keep these ones. Overall I am happy for the price that I paid for these, and will update the review based on how well they hold up.
