The Leaves are Changing

Fall is here, which means it’s the perfect time to bring out our sweaters and start making the apple cider! There's nothing quite like spending autumn in New York, where the changing leaves light up the city and the cooler weather replaces the summer sun. We think that fall is the perfect season to catch up on our reading. Here at AUrate, we always encourage pursuing new passions and broadening our horizons by learning through reading. We believe that empowerment can only be achieved through knowledge and education. Since we began our company, we have always valued empowering our community and giving back. This is why we chose to partner with Mastery Charter to create the ‘A Book for Your Look’ program that seeks to empower children in need through the gift of reading.

Books we're Falling for

Since fall is the perfect season to do some reading, with its cool weather and beautiful setting, our team decided to put together and share a personal list of all our favorite books. We scoured New York City to find the most beautiful libraries that you can visit for both the beauty of the architecture and also to borrow books. We invite you to try reading our suggestions and let us know some of your favorite books.

Libraries to visit...

1) New York Public Library

An iconic library that is one of NYC's most beautifully decorated public spaces.

2) The Morgan Library

Both a research library and also a museum, this haven is located in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Manhattan. Declared as both a New York City landmark and also a National Historic Landmark, we recommend checking this library out.

 Five Book Recommendations for Fall...

1) A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens

2) The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood

3) The Color Purple by Alice Walker

4) 1984 by George Orwell
